This session is run by the Agile Research Network, who seek to work closely with practitioners and organisations to gain insights into agility and to disseminate findings as widely as possible.
The challenges of transforming to an agile way of working are recognised and have received much attention. However, the challenges associated with sustaining agility have received less attention. In this session attendees were asked to share stories about how they have stayed agile through a series of structured group discussions. Issues included:
- What threatens agility and how to avoid or overcome those threats?
- What supports the ongoing continuous improvement practices?
- How to maintain a productive balance between empowerment and control in the long term?
